The economic and social development of states and the preservation of civilization as a whole often depend on their solution.
Turkmenistan, in turn, makes a great contribution to solving the problems of environmental protection.
And therefore, it is no coincidence that at the last meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty (18th of July this year), Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that «Turkmenistan attaches great importance to environmental issues as one of the factors for achieving sustainable development proclaimed by the UN».
Contributing to the solution of this important task, Turkmenistan is implementing a comprehensive science-based long-term environmental strategy.
«In the activities of the Halk Maslahaty, this issue should be a priority», the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized.
The initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan in this area fully fit into the policy of stable development of the world community and the global strategy for preserving the environment.
The country has adopted important legislative acts regulating the basic rules and norms in the environmental sphere: «On Environmental Safety», «On Nature Protection», «On Environmental Expertise», «On Chemical Safety», «On Environmental Audit» and other documents.
Recently, the country has been actively engaged in the neutralization and disposal of waste through the creation of facilities for the treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater, gas dust collection equipment.
Deep processing of oil and gas and chemical waste is carried out.
Old equipment will be replaced with new, more environmentally friendly.
The targeted and thoughtful implementation of environmental policy, as well as timely measures to modernize industrial facilities, ensure the steady and dynamic development of the national economy.
