The presentation of the music collection of the outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov "Selected vocal compositions for soprano and piano" took place at the First International Forum of Composers of the Caspian countries, held within the framework of the International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons".

Turkmenistan is represented at the forum by composer Mamed Huseynov, Chairman of the Turkmen regional branch of the Union of Composers of Eurasia, art director of the Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of Dutar".

As noted, the presented collection includes Nury Halmamedov’s romances for soprano and piano in the performing edition of opera singer Daria Huseynova.

The vocalist has many years of experience in performing the works of the Turkmen composer. In addition, the edition includes a vocal cycle "Unheard Songs of the Children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki".

According to Daria Huseynova, this cycle inspired her to write a scientific work, and the performance edition presented in the book was the result of the practical implementation of the artistic and creative project of her thesis "The problem of interpreting the theme of childhood in vocal cycles" (using the example of Nury Halmamedov’s vocal cycle "Unheard Songs of the Children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki").

The collection was published with the support of the Organizing Committee of the Moscow International Art Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov in honor of the 85th anniversary of the composer. This year, an International scientific and Practical conference, which is scheduled to be held in Moscow, will also be dedicated to the anniversary date.
