Preparations for the upcoming harvesting of the grown raw cotton crop have been successfully carried out in the Dashoguz velayat.

The necessary preventive works were carried out at the cotton ginning enterprises of the Production Association "Dashoguzpagta", where, in order to produce high-quality products with characteristics that meet the requirements of the textile industry, inspection and repair of equipment for drying and cleaning cotton, cyclone groups, pipelines, raw materials warehouses, loading and unloading sites and others were carried out. All 47 cotton receiving points of the region and laboratories for quality control of the raw cotton are prepared for uninterrupted operation.

Special attention in preparation for the new season is paid to the organization of harvesting operations at the proper level, the effective use of agricultural machinery, production facilities, consistent increase in labor productivity.

This year, the farmers of the velayat have again chosen the most optimal cotton varieties for weather and climatic conditions, characterized by good germination, early ripening, high quality and fiber yield, such as "Daşoguz-120", "Daşoguz-114", "Gubadag-3", "Jeýhun" as the seed material, "S4727", "F149", "Tolöten-39".

A large number of cotton harvesting equipment, including hundreds of highly productive modern combines of the "John Deere" brand will be involved in the harvest. 1,774 trucks and tractors with trailers will participate in the transportation of the harvest.

It is expected that the major producers of valuable raw materials in Dashoguz velayat this year will be Akdepe etrap and S.Turkmenbashi etrap, where the crop is planted on thirty-two thousand hectares and thirty thousand hectares, respectively.
