The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Chairman of the Agency "Turkmendemirýollary" A.Atamyradov took part in the Second Meeting of the Heads of Railway Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States in Istanbul.

Azat Atamyradov familiarized the participants with the international transport diplomacy of Turkmenistan, the country's existing potential in the railway sector, activities to improve the material and technical base of the industry, as well as the formation of new transport and communication networks.

In this regard, the head of "Turkmendemirýollary" spoke about the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway line put into operation, the "Akina-Andkhoy" station built by Turkmen railway workers, which is part of the "Lapis-Lazuli" transport corridor, the "China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Europe" transport corridor, the international transport corridor "Europe-Caucasus-Asia" passing through the territory of Turkmenistan.

Noting the fact that special attention is paid to cooperation with the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, A.Atamyradov expressed hope for further expansion of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, activities for the revival of the Great Silk Road.

The Forum on Multimodal Transportation and Logistics was held on the sidelines of the Second Meeting of the Heads of Railway Administrations of the OTS.

The Forum brought together representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the OTS member states, leading logistics companies, commercial structures to share best practices and discuss initiatives for the development of multimodal transport routes. Thus, Turkmenistan was represented by such transport and logistics companies as OJSC "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan", ES "Halkara Turkmen Logistik", ES "Döwrebap ulag merkezi", ES "Meno Logistics Turkmen".
