The fourth volume of the new edition of the book "Hatyra" has been published

The supplemented second edition of the IV volume of the book "Hatyra" ("Memory") became a tribute to the bright memory of our compatriots who fell in battles against fascism in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as the missing. This historical and documentary work is dedicated to the Turkmen soldiers, whose military and life feat has become an exemplary school of courage and patriotism for present and future generations.

The publication, published on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, opens with a congratulatory Address by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of a significant date. As the Head of state notes, remaining true to the principles of honor, our brave compatriots, shoulder to shoulder with representatives of fraternal peoples, showed unparalleled valor, steadfastness and genuine heroism on the fields of the fiercest battle of the XX century in the name of a peaceful and free life. Eternal glory to them!

The new edition of the fourth volume of the book "Hatyra" pays tribute to the memory of the Turkmen soldiers from the Lebap velayat. The introductory article tells about the courage and indomitable strength of spirit of our compatriots, about the steadfastness and dedication of home front workers. The Turkmen people overcame the trials and hardships of the harsh war years with honor, making a worthy contribution to the common Victory, and the heroic pages of the history of that time will never be forgotten.

Thus, according to available data, 21086 people from the eastern region of the country are among those killed in the battles for the Motherland and missing during the Great Patriotic War. In the book, information about the heroes from Lebap, who gave their lives for the sake of a peaceful and happy future of their descendants and did not return to their homes, is systematized and arranged in alphabetical order.

In addition, there are documentary materials, letters, photographs of soldiers, publications that could be read on the pages of periodicals of that period, frames of rear photo chronicles, poems written during the war years, as well as images of monuments erected on the territory of Lebap velayat in honor of the defenders of the Fatherland.

The supplemented IV volume of the book "Hatyra", prepared for publication by the Main Archive Department under the Cabinet of Ministers, was published by the Turkmen State Publishing Service at a high printing level and is intended for a wide readership. It, like entire multi-volume work, serves to perpetuate the memory of brave Turkmen soldiers and, at the same time, the noble cause of educating young people on the heroic example of the older generation.
