This innovative project is another actual measure for realization of national economic strategy, which rests upon comprehensive usage of the richest hydrocarbon resources of Turkmenistan.
During the inspection of gas chemical complex, the Head of the State familiarized in details with the course and rates of the works, specific features of the enterprise, where production process would be based of the most advanced technologies.
The plant is built by joint efforts of the State Concern «Turkmengas», «Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.» consortium from Japan and «Ronesans Endustri Tesisleri Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.» from Turkey. It is worth to remind that that related document was signed during official visit of the Government delegation of Turkmenistan to Japan in September 2013. Laying of foundation stone of the facility was made in August 2014 with participation of the Head of the State.
The plant, provided with top modern equipment and advanced technologies from famous world manufacturers including Danish «Haldor Topsоe», would process 1 785 000 000 cubic meters of gas and produce 600 thousand tons of A92 petrol, which would meet highest environmental standards of Euro 5. The facility will produce 1800 tons per day. Production of 12 000 tons of diesel fuel and 115 000 tons of liquefied gas is also planned. Total cost of this investment project is almost 1 700 000 000 US dollars. It is remarkable that hundreds of employments would be established once the facility starts operation in 2018.
At the moment, all works undergo at high speed on the facility. Proper measures for provision of the enterprise with the most modern equipment are undertaken. Number of related auxiliary technical systems was delivered to construction site. Construction and installation works are carried out on administration, production, technical and other facilities included to the structure of gas chemical complex.
Production of petrol from natural gas will be based on know-how technology. The whole complex of modern technological installations, auxiliary facilities and engineering and technical systems are erected there.
One of the leading specialists of the State Concern «Turkmengas» said to Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that production complex includes several facilities, where installation for reception and treatment of natural gas is the first one in the process train. After gas is delivered to the facility by «East – West» gas main, hydrogen sulphide compounds will be removed from its composition. Purification process extends activity period of the catalysts inside the reactors.
For clearness, the diagram of natural gas synthesis was demonstrated to the Head of the State. Having inspected this, President of Turkmenistan expressed the interest in special characteristics of the technologies, having noted the importance of proper measures for provision of high efficiency.
Having expressed the interest in details and technological features of materials processing and production of high quality A – 92 petrol, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov requested to stipulate the possibilities for production A-95 petrol during development of the project for second phase of the complex.
Leading specialist of the State Concern «Turkmengas» introduced the technology of the installation for production of synthetic petrol included in the plant complex. Special drawings allowing to get visual conception of the process of methanol and petrol synthesis were presented to the attention of the Head of the State.
The engineer explained that raw methanol, produced in synthesis methanol unit, is keot in proper reservoirs. After it is delivered by strong pumps to six petrol reactors where it turned in petrol by special catalysts. After reactors, hot raw petrol is transferred via heat exchangers and goes to final purification installations. Then, it undergoes the processing where associated products like liquid gas and diesel fuel are removed. High quality A-92 petrol, which meets Euro-5 ecological standards, is transferred to three large storage tanks. The project stipulates railway and automobile roads for final delivery of the product to consumers.
In this regard, the Head of the State gave instruction to speed up the construction of railroad. The President of Turkmenistan noted that railway with further maritime line transportation is the most economically beneficial way of delivery of ready product to the consumers including the export to international markets.
Counting on deeper and more comprehensive gas processing and increase of export gas products, Turkmenistan will considerably expand its positions not only raw material such as oil and gas market but also will occupy deserving place in gas chemical production markets, which is more profitable and demanded.
In this relation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, inspecting the construction site, made special mention of the importance of training of national engineering and technical personnel, highly qualified intermediate-level specialists who would work at similar super modern facilities and gave number of specific recommendations and instructions on this account.
