Heads of local administration, the elders, representatives of non-governmental organizations, working groups and mass media took part in the meeting with candidate for post of the President of Turkmenistan, General Director of Garabogazsulphat Production Association of the State Concern “Turkmenhimiya” Suleimannepes Nurnepesov.
Official representative of the candidate presented the biography of S. Nurnepesov, who was nominated by the initiative group of the citizens, and characterized him as competent, initiative leader devoted to the interests of the state and people.
After, the candidate made speech and introduced key provisions of his election programme, according to which he is planning to continue fundamental reforms for improvement of leading branches of national economy by development and opening of new oil and gas deposits, increase of processing of hydrocarbon materials, establishment of export pipeline communications and modern chemical productions.
During the meeting, S. Nurnepesov answered the questions of the participants, who was interested in growth of production of food items, programmes of import substitution, rural development and employment issues.
Thus, for provision of further development of national economy of Turkmenistan, special attention will be paid to implementation of newest technologies, achievements of science and technology, improvement of education and public health spheres. The candidate noted that the construction of social and cultural facilities, fitted out with advanced equipment, automobile roads, gas supply system of the settlements would be continued.
Besides, support of social programmes, urban planning of cities and rural areas, reforms in agrarian sectors will remain as priority targets.
S. Nurnepesov highlighted that he intends to continue consolidating democratic and legal bases of the state, to pursue open door policy and expand friendly, beneficial relation with different countries of the world.
