The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the School of Young Diplomats of the university are preparing for the first game of the qualifying round of the III season of the project "Young Messengers of Peace" to be held at the university on October 17.

The grandiose project is organized for students of grades 9, 10 and 11 of schools in Turkmenistan and is aimed at career guidance of schoolchildren, identification of the most capable and talented participants who possess extensive knowledge and qualities necessary to build a successful diplomatic career in the future.

Last month, testing took place for those wishing to participate in the project, which attracted more than 600 high school students from the capital and all the velayats of the country. According to the results of the qualifying test, 64 schoolchildren received the right to participate in the new season of the project. Eight teams will be formed from this group to participate in the upcoming eight games of the qualifying round of the "Young Messengers of Peace" contest.

In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the greatest poet and philosopher of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, the III season of the 2023-2024 academic year project will be held under the slogan "Teachings of the Great Magtymguly Pyragy - national beacon of universal values."

The content of the contest will include questions on the life and literary heritage of the brilliant creator and compiled on the basis of his works, as well as books and movies about the poet.

Taking into account the specifics of the competition, the theme of politics and diplomacy of the Turkmen states of different historical periods will be traditionally sounded during the competitions of young intellectuals. The contest questions will be addressed to the participants in Turkmen and foreign languages.

The theme of the first game is "Dovletmammet Azadi and international relations in Central Asia in his era". The topics of the subsequent games of the qualifying round of the project include: "International relations and diplomacy of the Safavid Turkmen state in the late XVII – early XVIII century"; "Foreign policy and international relations of the Turkmen state of Afsharid" and others.
