Turkmen students have received the right to participate in the Regional Central Asian Spelling Bee

Students from Turkmenistan received the right to participate in the Regional Central Asian Spelling Bee, becoming the winners of the national stage of the competition.

Four winners from Turkmenistan have been invited to the regional competition to be held this year in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. At the upcoming meeting of English language experts, our country will be represented by two students of the International University of Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, as well as two representatives of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

The national round of the competition was held by the US Embassy in Ashgabat together with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, and Culture of Turkmenistan. The event was held with the participation of 70 students from 20 Turkmen universities at the State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

As part of the intellectual competition, participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in English language, spelling, and public speaking.

It should be noted that it is not the first time that students from our country take part in this competition. Last year, the successful performance of Turkmen students brought them a confident victory. Students of the M.Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan and the Magtymguly Turkmen State University won 1st and 2nd place at the Regional Central Asian Spelling Bee in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Thousands of students from different countries of the world participate in the Spelling Bee competition every year. The competition is designed to stimulate and develop interest in learning English among young people, improve oral and written language skills, as well as contribute to improving students' language literacy and expanding their vocabulary.
