On November 4, Turkmenistan will host another environmental action – a nationwide landscaping campaign. The corresponding order was given by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The National Forest Program implemented in our country envisages expansion of green areas around cities and villages. Last year, the successful implementation of landscaping works was marked by the awarding Ashgabat with an International Certificate to for assistance and contribution to the UN Economic Commission for Europe "Trees in Cities Challenge".

Currently, the preparation of saplings and plots allocated for them is underway in the capital and the city of Arkadag. Different types of coniferous and deciduous trees will be planted as part of the autumn landscaping campaign.

According to the established good tradition, residents of the country, students and public organizations will take an active part in a large-scale landscaping campaign.
