The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Astana, invited the OTS countries to use Turkmen logistics capabilities.

«In the current climate of general instability, one of the key tasks is the creation between our states and a modern transport, transit and logistics system that is widely spreading beyond their borders»,– noted Hero-Arkadag.

According to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, in this direction, Turkmenistan in recent years has come up with a number of large infrastructure projects that unite Asia and Europe, and countries belonging to the Organization of Turkic States have actively participated in them.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people reminded that in 2017, in accordance with the relevant Agreement signed in Ashgabat, the transport corridor Afghanistan - Turkmenistan - Azerbaijan - Georgia – Türkiye was created, and in March 2019, on the initiative of Turkmenistan, the Caspian Sea - Black Sea transport corridor was created and signed relevant multilateral document.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty also noted that work is currently underway to form a transport corridor Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan with access to the Caspian Sea, which will then extend to Azerbaijan, and from there to Türkiye.

According to Hero-Arkadag, the above examples clearly confirm the relevance and effectiveness of the Trans-Caspian transport corridor being created with the participation of the Turkic states.

«In this context, in order to enhance transport and transit communications, I propose to use the capabilities of the logistics and infrastructure system of Turkmenistan»,– Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
