Boxers from Turkmenistan won 7 medals at the Asian Championships among youths and juniors

Seven medals - one gold, three silver and three bronze - were won Turkmen boxers at the Asian Championships that ended in Astana boys (not older than 16 years) and juniors (not older than 18 years).

Championship awards in 13 weight categories in total were contested about 200 young athletes from 23 countries - Vietnam, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Palestine, Tajikistan, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Philippines and Japan.

In the tournament among the youngest boxers, our compatriots won four medals. Dayanch climbed to the highest level of the podium Durdynepesov (weight category up to 63 kg). Received silver awards Sanjar Khamraev (up to 48 kg) and Abdylla Khojaev (up to 50 kg), and bronze - Seyitjan Babajanov (up to 54 kg).

In the championship among juniors, the Turkmen team won three medals:

Aziz Klychev (up to 57 kg) won silver, and Ikhlas Bagtiyarov won bronze (up to 75 kg) and Mustapa Muhammetdurdyev (up to 92 kg).

The successes of our boxers are rightfully shared by the mentors of the youth and junior team of Turkmenistan Sapardurdy Bagyev and Maksud Sheripov, as well as the head coach of the national team Tenilbek Dzhumakulov.
