Selecting high-yielding seed varieties is the key to a great harvest of green crops

The high labor indicators, achieved by the farmers of Lebap velayat in vegetable and crop production, testify to the fact that work in this field is well organized, and the harvest is served with dedication of farmers.

Experienced agrarians of the region managed to accomplish their plans this year, harvesting over 12,680 tons of winter crops planted on 900 hectares of land and 8,563 tons of sorghum planted on 475 hectares of land. In order to achieve high results in the region, 4,200 tons of potatoes and 5,310 tons of carrots have been harvested.

Prerequisites for a bountiful harvest of vegetables and potatoes in the region have been created through the selection of high-yielding seed varieties suitable to soil and weather conditions of the region, as well as the proper use of high-performance technology.

Fulfillment of the state plan for green crops in all etraps of the velayat indicates the organization of activities.

It is important to note that today a sufficient amount of prepared products is sent to stores and markets, while the rest is sent to specialized refrigerated warehouses owned by the agricultural-industrial association "Miwe" of Lebap velayat. This makes it possible to provide the population all year-round with environmentally friendly essential food products – healthy and nutritious vegetables and fruits.
