The heads of states and high-ranking officials of the countries, members of the Economic Cooperation Organization discussed the ways of further cooperation within the framework of this structure.

Speaking during the ECO Summit in Islamabad, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the current realias, trends in the global economy, special aspects of the situation in the region required innovative approaches in the ECO activities.

“We should not politicize this Organisation, should not accept any deviations from its economic concept as the basic mechanism on cooperation of the states, willing to implement joint projects aimed at increasing potential and achieving success in the name of common interests”, the Turkmen leader said.

The press-conference took place on the outcomes of the high-level forum.
