The results of the International Film Festival "Listapad" were announced in Minsk on November 24. The film "Daragt" by Turkmen film director Sahysalykh Bairamov was among the winners of 2023.

The film won in the category of "Cinema without Borders." The work of Uzbek film production "Evolution" was also recognized in this category.

As noted by Leonid Anfimov, First Deputy Secretary-General of the CIS, the Executive Committee of the CIS faced a difficult task of choosing a nominee from the films presented by the Commonwealth countries. Therefore, an unconventional decision was made to award a special prize to two films.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the film festival, Leonid Anfimov stated that the film "Daragt" is a story about love, loyalty, hope and our shared history. According to him, both films, which were awarded special prizes at the XXIX Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad," tell about moral values that are significant for any person, regardless of the country he lives in.

Furthermore, the films presented at the festival fully reflected its overall theme: "Creating the Future."

The special prize for the movie by film director Sahysalykh Bairamov was handed over to the representative of the Turkmenistan diplomatic mission in Minsk.
