On November 27, 2023, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, together with the Institute of Peace Studies and Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, held a scientific and practical conference “Magtymguly Fragi and the friendship of peoples in the modern world” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classical poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi. Speaking at the conference, the Federal Minister of National Heritage and Culture of the Government of Pakistan Syed Jamal Shah, highly appreciated the rich heritage of Magtymguly Fragi and stated the advisability of further expanding cooperation between our countries in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan A.Movlamov in his speech emphasized that the study of the literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, which is part of the golden treasury of world literature, will be of great importance in expanding international cooperation, thus the current scientific and practical conference is a worthy contribution to the celebration 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi in 2024.
The conference participants noted the significance of this event and expressed a common desire to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
