The foresters of Dashoguz velayat successfully carried out a responsible campaign - collecting seeds of trees and shrubs. To date, they have collected about three tons of seeds of desert plants, as well as saxaul, gandym, cherkez, a ton of seeds of deciduous crops, and about 450 kilograms of seeds of coniferous trees.

Also, as part of the autumn harvest, a large number of seeds of various fruit trees were prepared. The work being carried out will make it possible to provide all the farm’s nurseries with planting material, the total area of which amounts to tens of hectares.

The annual seasonal collection of seeds, carried out by specialists of the Dashoguz velayat forestry, is important for the further reproduction of forests and afforestation, and the rational use of natural resources.

As throughout the country, in Dashoguz velayat much attention is paid to environmental issues. Within the framework of the «National Forestry Program of Turkmenistan» and other large-scale socio-economic government programs, comprehensive measures are consistently carried out in the field of nature conservation, conservation of biological diversity and natural landscapes.

The work is carried out on the basis of recommendations developed by Turkmen scientists for landscaping work and the most efficient use of the area. The annual planting of hundreds of thousands of new seedlings of various trees also makes a significant contribution to the greening of the region.
