President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the session of the Cabinet of Ministers where results of work of different branches of economy, social and political sphere from the beginning of the year were summed up. Certain issues of the state life were also reviewed.
Having announced the agenda, the Head of the State gave floor for report on macroeconomic indices for January – February 2017 to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Hojamammedov. The Vice-premier informed that stable development of national economy and increase of life level of the population are provided in the country owing to the measures undertaken under the leadership of the President of the Turkmenistan.
For the period under review, the main index of national economy, the GDP increased for 6.2 percent where the growth in industrial sector were 0.6 percent, in construction 4.6 percent, in transport and communication sector 11.4 percent, in trade 11 percent, in agriculture 3.2 percent and in service sphere 10.8 percent.
According to the analyses of the data from all ministries and departments, the growth rate of production increased for 3.2 percent comparing with the same period of the last year.
By the results of two months, the volume of retail trade turnover increased for 17.1 percent comparing with relative period of 2016.
Salary payments in large and medium enterprises were increased for 9.6 percent.
Reporting to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on execution of the State Budget, the Vice-premier informed that the revenue was 2.8 billion manats and the expenditure part made 2.7 billion manats. All salaries, pensions, government allowances and student scholarships were paid on time during the period under review.
Information on the work undertaken for industrial development of the regions was also given. Thus, at present moment, building of 216 facilities is accomplished and 104 are still under construction.
Summing up the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated generally positive dynamics of economic indices. Having focused the attention on the objectives for increase of production volumes of import substitutive items and export of local goods, the Leader of the Nation addressed number of specific instructions to the Vice-premier.

It was mentioned that plans for production of oil and gas condensate executed for 108 percent, processing of hydrocarbons for 103.8 percent, gas export for 100.7 percent. Production of number of oil products exceeded planned targets including diesel fuel for 3.7 percent, polypropylene for 4.1 percent, lubricating oils for 1.5 percent, liquefied gas for 3.8 percent. Drill plan is fulfilled for 119.6 percent.
The Vice-premier also reported on construction of Turkmen part of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas main, which undergoes according to the schedule. Besides, exploration works along the route of the pipeline on the territory of Afghanistan were started.
Having listened to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov requested the management of fuel and energy complex to continue strictly monitoring of the structures under the supervision paying utmost attention to increase of production and processing of oil and gas. The Vice-premier also received specific instructions on further constriction of TAPI gas main.

The Vice-premier reported that generally, the plan for services in transport and communication complex is fulfilled for 100.4 percent and the growth rate made 101.8 percent.
For two months of the current year, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport executed the plan for 112 percent. The growth rate of port services made 104 percent.
Having listened to the report, the Head of the State gave addition instructions for development of domestic sphere of transport and communication. The Leader of the Nation requested to pay utmost attention the development and realization of large project of regional and international importance.

Thus, the volume of total trade turnover by the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Affairs made 702.5 million manats and increased for 0.5 percent. Balance revenue made 95.5 million manats. The plan is executed for 130.1 percent. 21 million manats of investments were drawn.
The State Commodity and Raw material Exchange held 40 trade session where 1674 contracts to the amount of more than 2.4 billion manats were registered. Its main part was made of export and import transactions (more than 3.2 billions). The volume of total income made 10.8 million manats and the plan was fulfilled for 149.5 percent.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan made industrial production to the amount of 80 million manats and its volume increased for 38.9 percent, agricultural and food production to the amount of 120 million manats with increase to 38.1 percent. Construction and installation works was made to the amount of 261.6 million manats with growth rate of 2 percent. The volume of trade turnover made more than 1.8 billion manats with growth rate of 5.6 percent. The works in service sphere were fulfilled for 158.6 manats having increased to 6.2 percent.

201 names of study books and guides were developed and submitted for publishing. Turkmen pupils won 5 bronze medals in international school competitions and 2 gold and 3 silver medals in internet competitions. The students of secondary professional education institutions won 9 medals at international web-based competitions, where 6 gold and 3 silver medals.
Under preparation to 2017 Asian Games, e-registration of voluntaries were launched and regular training sessions, practical conferences and competitions are conducted for these students.
The growth rate of the income from the state voluntary medical insurance made 103 percent comparing with the last year, income from the service made 106 percent and production of medicine made 102 percent.
The President of Turkmenistan gave assignments to the Vice-premier to renovate the approaches to organization of activity of the facilities of the departments under his supervision. It is necessary to provide integrated development of all social spheres and quality education, to promote more efficiently scientific developments, promote healthy life style and support public initiatives, - the Head of the State said.

This index made 106.7 percent by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management, 102.7 percent by the State Committee for Environment Protection and Land Resources, 100.5 percent by the State Association of Food Industry and 105.1 percent by the State Association «Türkmen atlary».
Comparing to the same period of the last year, production volumes of flour, pasta, bread and pastry, meat, milk, eggs and vegetables were increased. The plan for drawing of the investments by the ministries and departments was fulfilled for 123.1 percent.
The information on seasonal agricultural works, preparation for cotton, vegetable, cucurbitaceous and forage cultures undertaken these days were also given. Ploughing works, levelling of the areas under crops, irrigation and other agrotechnical activities undergo under this campaign.

At the same time, 120 Turkmen delegations were sent abroad. 19 conferences and meetings were organized in the country together with international partners. Regularity and legal framework of international cooperation of Turkmenistan was supplemented by 7 signed documents.
