Today, the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the capital with the participation of the heads of leading ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and a representative delegation headed by the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz who arrived in our country.

During the meeting, participants got acquainted with the economic situation of the two countries, regional and multilateral issues, as well as information on the implementation of measures provided for by the Work Plan of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation, adopted on the basis of the Protocol of the sixth meeting.

Expressing sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his attention to the current meeting and the warm welcome provided, the head of the Turkish delegation noted that the results of the next meeting will contribute to the further expansion of interstate cooperation.

In this regard, it was noted with satisfaction that the bilateral partnership is consistently and actively developing on the basis of the principles of friendship and brotherhood, full understanding and close mutual support. Today, in almost all areas, multifaceted Turkmen-Turkish cooperation is carried out at a high level.

Among the current areas of interaction, such important areas for both states were identified as trade, economics and investment, banking, energy, transport and logistics, industry and technology, education and science, healthcare, culture and tourism, nature conservation and urban planning, rural farming, sports.

Expressing the continued commitment of Turkmenistan and Turkey to centuries-old good neighborly ties, members of the Commission outlined a number of specific steps to diversify interaction in all promising areas. It was noted that the expansion of contacts would be facilitated by the participation of representatives of the two countries in international conferences and other forums organized in Turkmenistan and Türkiye.

Based on the results of the Commission meeting, the final protocol was signed.

Participants of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation expressed confidence that the decisions made during the current meeting will give new impetus to building up partnership in all areas in the interests of two friendly countries and peoples.
