The «Arkadag» players beat Ashgabat 4:1 in the rescheduled match of the 27th round of the Turkmenistan football championship.
The game took place at the capital's «Nisa» stadium.
If for «Arkadag», which became four rounds before the end of the national
championship by the national champion, this match had no tournament significance, then «Ashgabat», fighting for bronze medals, if successful, could reduce the gap to third place Balkanabat «Nebitchi» to one point.
The debut of the meeting was in favor of the Ashgabat team, who, thanks to the efforts of Hojanazar Gurbanov in the 7th minute, took the lead 1:0. With this result, the teams went to the break.
The second half had barely begun when Abdy Bashimov pulled a goal back in the 47th minute. After another three minutes, the leading scorer in the dispute, Didar Durdyyev, brought «Arkadag» ahead – 2:1. The success of the debutant of the national championship, representing the city of national importance of the same name in the championship, was consolidated by Shanazar Tirkishov, who scored a double in the 63rd and 65th minutes and set the final score.
In this way, having won a strong-willed victory at Ashgabat, «Arkadag» scored 63 points in 21 matches. The capital's «Altyn Asyr», which secured silver medals, has 47 points after 20 meetings. «Nebitchi» closes the top three, with 34 points after 21 games.
Until the end of the Turkmenistan championship, FC «Arkadag» will play three more games.
