Today, the final round of the pop song contest “Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy” (“A shining star of the year”), which has become traditionally one of the bright events of the Pre-New Year's program of festive events, took place in the shopping complex of the new city.

Thanks to the progressive state policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in Turkmenistan a large-scale work is carried out to develop culture and art. Annual unique projects promote realisation of creative potential of the youth and its familiarising with an invaluable spiritual treasury of the nation and the richest musical culture. All conditions are created for them - even in the most remote corners of the country culture centres, concert venues where performances of participants of the vocal contests were constructed.

So, various competitions of young singers of variety art held in the country including “Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy”, stimulate creative activity and initiative of young singers, promote revealing and support of new talents, professional growth of performers and development of modern national music. The president of Turkmenistan attaches a great significance to harmonious spiritual-moral, cultural, intellectual and physical development of the younger generation, which is a powerful force, and happy future of our land.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture together with the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and Central Council of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the competition gathered talented young vocalists and pop singers aged from 17 to 35 from all regions of Turkmenistan as well as from Ashgabat, who wish to display their skill before the wide audience.

The creative marathon, held in several qualification rounds at regional level, included young talents for whom the majority of TV viewers and radio listeners voted during preliminary qualification rounds. From these candidates the competent jury selected the most perspective ones, who are distinguished with vocal and artistic gifts from all aspirants, won love of the public, and got the maximum number of votes. Many of them already have performance experience at various festivals, which have taken place in Turkmenistan.

Now, it was necessary to define owner of the Grand-prix of the competition. Seasoned professionals of musical stage joined this process.

Further, the final stage, results of which directly depended on spectators, started. The number of finalists included as singers familiar to the audience, soloists of concert organisations and ensembles and participants of amateur performances of various higher educational schools, and original talents from countryside, who appeared for the first time before the wide public. The brightest and talented actors obtained the right to perform in the following stage of the competition and possibility to act on the TV channel “Türkmen owazy”.

TV viewers and radio listeners who accessed the skill of young actors became juries there, voting for this or that performer by SMS and phone calls. The extent of this action and involvement of wide audience in it ensured participation of the brightest representatives of popular music genre in the final - ten best of them were selected for the final round.

Being as a part of the jury, famous soloists of Turkmen stage, winners of the competitions of past years as well as workers of art and culture, composers, poets gathered at the final concert for assessment of performances of their young colleagues to give their votes to what they already have.

Contestants, feeling all responsibility of the moment, which, probably, will play a huge role in their future career, and aspiring to justify hopes of admirers, who support them, tried their best to display all their abilities, acting on the festively decorated stage. At this stage, besides the vocal data, they should show the stage presence necessary for achievement of success.

According to conditions of the contest “Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy”, vocalists sang two songs, one of them - without music accompaniment, in order for professional would be able to judge the voice of the participants. This round allowed highlighting individual artistic performance of young singers and their ability to make contact with audience. In the given case, as accompaniment a burst of applause and the most benevolent support of spectators acted. Songs of different genres - modern variety and ancient national, lyrical and patriotic ones sounded.

The musical contest lasted for several hours. The competition resembled a meeting of friends where everyone hung together, sincerely wishing good luck. A noisy applause of admirers accompanied performance of each finalist. After each performance, famous actors expressed their opinion and gave advice to their young colleagues. At the same time, the voting proceeded.

After calculation of voices, sent by spectators by SMS, an awarding ceremony where the masters of ceremony have announced the results of the contest, started.

The winner in this creative marathon and the owner of the main prize of “A shining star of the year” became Bahar Annaeva, who secured the challenge cup and a costly present.

Besides the Grand prix the first, second and third places were also awarded. Certificates and costly presents were given to all winners.

Wishes of artistic growth, search and success from the recognized masters of Turkmen music scene and national art were a good advice to young artist. The speakers made special mention that today, young Turkmenistan citizens have all opportunities and conditions for implementation of their artistic potential and revealing of their abilities owing to special attention of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Inspired winners of the competition excited, joyful, with a pride and gratitude, promised to justify such attention and support from the head of the state with their contribution to development of Turkmen culture.
