Russia and Uzbekistan will promote a transit route through Turkmenistan

FESCO, which is one of the largest transport and logistics companies in Russia, and «Uzbek Railways» JSC agreed to begin joint activities on new transit routes through Turkmenistan to Türkiye, African and Mediterranean countries. This is reported by the official website of the «Türkmenawtoulaglary» Agency.

The agreement was reached as a result of a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FESCO Transport Group, Andrey Severilov, and the Deputy Chairman of the Board of «Uzbek Railways» JSC, Abdumalik Kamiljanov, and the Chairman of the Board of «Uzzheldorcontainer» JSC, Akmal Kamalov, in Tashkent. It should be noted that «Uztemiryulcontainer» is part of the «Uzbek Railways».

FESCO intermodal services will be used when carrying out transportation. The parties also agreed to establish direct container communication between Tashkent and Moscow.

FESCO has assets in the port, railway and integrated logistics business. The company can deliver cargo door-to-door and control all stages of the intermodal transport chain.

In October 2022, FESCO opened a subsidiary, FESCO TURAN, in Uzbekistan to develop logistics services in the Central Asia region.
