During the pre-New Year days, Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater hosted a concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan with artists of Turkmen pop music. The stage was graced by the participants of the children's choir "Friendship" of the Turkmen-Russian School named after A.S. Pushkin, who added a touching note of Christmas holidays to the concert. Renowned pop artists such as Dovran Shammyev, Maysa Niyazova, Mansur Sharipov and Anna Veliahmedova also performed at the concert.

It is worth noting that each soloist congratulated the audience in the hall on the upcoming New Year when they took the stage. Their sincere wishes for success in the coming year also lifted the spirits of the audience.

Songs like "Snowflake," "And Snow is Falling," "Once in December," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Snowstorm Again" among others, which were included in the concert program, beautifully portrayed the picture of the pre-New Year celebrations.

Rasul Klychev shared an interesting story about Strauss: "Once, while walking in the Pavlovsky Garden, Strauss turned to the cuckoo that was cuckooing. 'Cuckoo, cuckoo! How many waltzes and polkas will I write?' The cuckoo cuckooed so much that he wrote over a hundred waltzes and polkas." One of the polkas, which is called "In Pavlovsky Garden," was performed by the symphony orchestra at the concert.

The orchestra amazed the audience with Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite" arranged in a rock style. A Latin American-style arrangement of a fragment from Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" was also performed. Mansur Sharipov's performance was memorable with his rendition of two captivating songs - "A Happy Day" by Danatar Khydyrov and "Winter" by Eduard Khanok.

The concert concluded with Johann Strauss's "Radetzky March." Rasul Klychev conducted both the musicians and the audience simultaneously. The audience enthusiastically applauded in rhythm with the grand melody when the maestro addressed them. The joint performance significantly lifted the spirits of the audience. In the finale, as usual, Rasul Klychev expressed his gratitude to the audience for their interest in the creative work of the State Symphony Orchestra and its soloists. He noted that this interest helps us grow professionally in order to justify your expectations every time.
