New Year's gift to the school from student Bally Babaev

An extraordinary event was held at School № 72 named after Gurbansoltan Eje in Ashgabat, the solemn unveiling of a 2-meter gypsum sculpture composition "Boy and Dolphin" took place in the schoolyard in the presence of all students and teachers. The uniqueness of the incident lies in the fact that the author of the composition is Bally Babaev, a student of the 11th grade.

Bally depicted a boy playing with a dolphin. According to Bally, the composition symbolizes the unity of humans and nature.

"Why did you take a dolphin as the hero of the sculpture?" we asked the author.

"A dolphin is a rescuer. These animals have saved many human lives. Therefore, the dolphin brings goodness to our planet. We are all different, but we live on the same planet and in the same time. So, my sculpture composition "Boy and Dolphin" calls for peace and friendship on Earth," Bally replied.

"Why did you choose the school to install the monument? This composition could decorate any square or park in our capital, where more people could see it," we asked.

"The main character of my sculpture composition is the boy. He is in harmony with the environment and strives for knowledge. Education improves a person. That is why the schoolyard is the best place for my composition," Bally explained.

Bally is the son of Saragt Babaev, People's Artist of Turkmenistan, and Gulyara Babaeva, well-known ceramist. A few years ago, the extraordinary talent of this boy was recognized by professionals and amateurs of painting at one of the family exhibition, where Bally presented an exposition of his drawings. Many people congratulated the boy on his artistic skills, but Bally clarified that he wants to become a sculptor.

It seems that Bally's dream is starting to come true!

The school director Amansheker Ashyrova says: "We believe in a bright future for student Bally Babaev. He has everything for it: diligence, perseverance and creative thinking. We hope that over time, Bally will become a renowned sculptor. And then the teachers and students of our school will be even more proud that the sculpture "Boy and Dolphin," whose author studied in this school, is located in our schoolyard. By the way, the sculpture "Boy and Dolphin" is not the only artwork gifted by Bally to our school. Bally presented us a bust of an Akhal-Teke horse for the Horse Day and a plaster alabai for the Alabai Day. Recently, the people of Turkmenistan have been preparing to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classical poet Magtymguly Pyragy. The bust of Magtymguly, created by Bally Babaev, is also in our school. Bally Babaev is a representative of talented youth, who have great opportunities in our country."
