Turkmenistan and China increase cooperation in the field of education

The Chinese Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) will contribute to the professional training of Chinese language teachers in Turkmenistan.

The Center has signed corresponding cooperation agreements with three higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan: the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.

The documents were signed at the end of last year during the working visit to Ashgabat of the Chinese delegation led by Sun Yao, Vice Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China. As emphasized during the bilateral meeting in the Turkmen capital, relations between Turkmenistan and China in the field of education have a tendency for consistent and fruitful development, as evidenced by numerous exchanges of visits by university representatives, joint conferences, seminars, forums and exhibitions.

The development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in the field of professional training of Chinese language teachers will receive a new impetus within the framework of the signed agreements. In the context of comprehensive support of Chinese colleagues, advanced teaching methods and practices of Chinese language teaching will be jointly discussed and implemented in the training system. Exchange of professional experience will take place, and if necessary, Chinese teachers will be sent to partner universities in Turkmenistan.

Chinese language is becoming increasingly popular and in demand in our country. The teaching of Chinese language is widely spread at different levels of education, in secondary schools and higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, and its study is accessible to all interested individuals through courses held in the country.

It should be noted that the Chinese Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), which will provide assistance in learning the Chinese language and training specialized professionals in Turkmenistan, is a non-profit educational institution operating with the support of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
