The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag, has once again allocated funds to cover expensive surgeries for children from various velayats of the country.

Recently, staged surgeries were performed on children suffering from spinal diseases from Ashgabat and Balkan velayat in the multiprofile hospital in Arkadag city.

Orthopedic and surgical operations were successfully conducted on children with congenital disorders of musculoskeletal system from Dashoguz and Lebap velayats by specialists of the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health Protection.

Furthermore, cardiothoracic surgeries were performed on three children with congenital heart defects from Lebap, Dashoguz and Mary velayats by doctors from the International Cardiology Center of the International Health Centers Directorate.

After these complex operations, the condition of all the young patients is reported to be satisfactory. The parents of the children expressed deep gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and the honorable President for their care and comprehensive involvement in protection and improvement of the health of the population and the younger generation in particular.

Healthcare is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's state policy. As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has repeatedly emphasized, the human health is the highest value of society and the state. Therefore, our country is engaged in extensive work on the prevention and eradication of diseases, the implementation of new technologies in medical organizations, and the development of healthcare and medical industry in accordance with international standards.

As a result of the extensive charitable activities carried out by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, over two hundred surgeries were covered in the past year.
