The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan has announced the recruitment of applicants for the 93rd Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) for the year 2024.

All individuals interested in learning the Korean language, history and culture of Korea, as well as those seeking to broaden their prospects and opportunities through language proficiency, are invited to participate in the examination.

Interested individuals should register to take the test by submitting the relevant application. The acceptance of applications will take place at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages on weekdays from 09:00 to 15:00 from January 26 to February 6 of the current year.

The examination will be held on April 14 of the current year at the D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, located at 47, 2060 Street, Ashgabat.

Additional information is available on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan (https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/tm-ru/index.do), as well as by phone: +993 65 64 19 38 - Department of Korean Language, D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.

TOPIK is an international examination for determining and certifying the level of proficiency in the Korean language for non-native speakers. Taking the examination is particularly necessary for those who plan to study in Korea in the future, as having a certificate provides additional opportunities for applicants and students of Korean universities. The possession of a certificate also plays a key role in employment in companies that require knowledge of the Korean language.

The TOPIK examination is conducted two or three times a year and is currently widespread in more than 30 countries around the world.

It is worth noting that the study of the Korean language is becoming increasingly popular in our country. The D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, where specialists in the Korean language are trained, also houses the King Sejong Korean Education Center. The center was established on the basis of the university in 2019 and will celebrate its 5th anniversary this year. As an additional resource for linguistic training, it operates for all individuals interested in learning the Korean language, regardless of age and level of knowledge.
