The award ceremony for the winners of the state round of the subject Olympiad «Altyn asyryň altyn zehinleri» («Golden Talents of the Golden Age»), organised among students of grades 11-12 of secondary schools of Turkmenistan, was held at the specialised secondary school №4 of Ashgabat.
The Olympiad was held in three stages - at the city, velayat and state levels. Large-scale competitions among schoolchildren were held in 11 subject areas: astronomy, geography, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, computer science, history, Turkmen language and literature, Russian and English languages.
The final state round of the subject Olympiad was held from 12th to 13th of March at higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of Ashgabat and the velayats of the country. 811 talented schoolchildren from all over Turkmenistan took part in the final. The performances of participants were fairly assessed by members of a competent jury, which included professors and teachers from the country's higher education institutions.
Based on the results of the intellectual reviews, prize places were awarded to 236 students. Of these, 34 students won first place, 68 students took second place and 134 students received third place.
The winners and prize winners of the subject Olympiad «Altyn asyryň altyn zehinleri», as well as the state round of the robotics competition held within its framework, were awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and valuable gifts from the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The subject Olympiad was held at a high organisational level in order to identify, support and encourage young talents, form a comprehensively developed generation, stimulate the interest of young people in studying sciences, career guidance of students and create positive conditions for their intellectual and creative development.
