The Mejlis of Turkmenistan is preparing a number of bills designed to further strengthen the legal framework for ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, improve civil law relations, energy saving and determine the legal framework for hydrometeorological activities. Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova spoke about this at a meeting of the government of the country via video link.
According to the speaker of the national parliament, the necessary changes and additions are being made to the Family and Civil Procedure Codes, and the provisions of a number of laws are being brought into line with the requirements of the time.
In addition, practical steps are being taken to increase interaction with foreign states and international organizations. Thus, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, credentials were accepted from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to our country. At the same time, meetings were held with the plenipotentiary representatives of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Türkiye, during which issues of further development of interparliamentary relations were discussed.
Information was also provided on the participation of Mejlis deputies in events to explain the main aspects of the internal and foreign policy of the independent Fatherland, the socio-political significance of the motto of 2024, and to popularize the literary heritage of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pragy.
Summarizing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of continuing activities to further improve the national legislative framework.
