In Ashgabat, as part of the work to improve the capital, the square «15 years of independence of Turkmenistan» will be reconstructed. Deputy Prime Minister B. Annamammedov spoke about this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan via video link.

According to him, the total area of the capital’s park «15 years of independence of Turkmenistan» is 50 hectares. As part of the reconstruction, it is planned to build two overhead pedestrian crossings, bicycle paths, canopies in the recreation area, swimming pools, covered parking lots, and install modern street lighting. It is also planned to carry out landscaping work on the territory of the park.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that today the architectural ensemble of Ashgabat is becoming more and more beautiful. In this regard, speaking about the importance of the upcoming reconstruction of the capital’s park «15 years of independence of Turkmenistan», the head of state emphasized that it is necessary to create all conditions for recreation for citizens.
