A young oboist from Turkmenistan became a laureate of an international music competition

Musician from Turkmenistan Eziz Garyagdyyev took third place at the IX All-Russian instrumental performance competition among students of children's music schools and art schools «Music Marathon».

Eziz performed the first part of Alessandro Marcello’s «Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra», arranged for oboe and piano (C minor).

He performed via video link in the category «playing wind and percussion instruments».

Eziz Garyagdyyev is a student of a special music boarding school at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva. At the age of 12, studying under the guidance of Ahmat Abayev, Eziz already understood what the work of a musician is, and how much one needs to practice in order to surpass his peers in skill.
