Turkmenistan has received a modern mobile PCR laboratory as part of a joint project of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Programme.

The mobile complex is intended for rapid response and infection control teams of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. The laboratory will enable the teams to conduct a full range of PCR tests in field conditions when access to stationary laboratories is limited.

The laboratory complies with Biosafety Level 3 and has been designed for autonomous operation in remote areas of the country. The complex is equipped with advanced equipment for molecular diagnostics, autonomous life support systems and separate ventilation systems.
