On the 31st of January, a round table on health care development issues was held at the Maternal and Child Health Centre in the city of Arkadag. The event was attended by representatives of the information center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Centre for Maternal and Child Health of the city of Arkadag and the Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly.
The meeting participants discussed the achievements and prospects for the development of the domestic healthcare system. Particular attention was paid to the ongoing comprehensive work to protect maternal and child health, and to the healthcare opportunities created in the city of Arkadag.
Referring to the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan and the German consulting company «Goetzpartners Emerging Markets GmbH», the speakers emphasized that the creation of an international-level medical cluster in the first smart city of Turkmenistan will take the national healthcare system and medical industry to a new level level.
The rich base of environmentally friendly medicinal raw materials that Turkmenistan is rich in will make it possible to produce various types of medical products not only for domestic consumption, but also for export.
