Horse breeders of Turkmenistan use advanced technologies in their work to develop the Akhal-Teke horse breed. Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture T. Atahallyyev spoke about the work to preserve the breeding purity of Akhal-Teke horses, increase their numbers and popularize «heavenly» horses at a government meeting via video link.

It was reported that in the laboratory of the Horse Breeding Research and Production Centre of the State Association «Türkmen atlary» located in the city of Arkadag, genetic analysis of horses is being carried out to preserve their purebred, scientific research related to the development of horse breeding and improving the color of Akhal-Teke horses. The country's horse breeding farms are carrying out activities to register foals born this year for breeding registration and issue them with special certificates.

Noting the importance of conducting genetic analysis in order to preserve the breeding purity of Akhal-Teke horses, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that good opportunities for this have been created in the Scientific and Production Center for Horse Breeding opened in the city of Arkadag. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out regular work to increase the number of «heavenly» horses, preserve the purebred of the breed and study on a scientific basis the characteristics of the color of the horses.
