Filmmaker from Turkmenistan visited the Fajr Film Festival in Iran

Film director Sahysalykh Bayramov, representative of the Turkmenfilm Association named after Oguzhan, took part as an honorary guest in the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival held in Tehran from February 1 to 11.

The largest Fajr Film Festival is held annually on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Islamic Republic of Iran - the Day of Revolution.

This year, the festival received an impressive number of applications - 621 from 87 countries. The winners in three categories - "Sodaye-Simorgh" (the main competition section of the festival), "New Perspective" (novice directors), and "Animation" - were determined based on the results of the competition program.

During the forum, representatives of foreign film industries discussed the prospects of the development of cinema and considered possibilities of the implementation of future projects.

It should be noted that a year earlier, at the I International Caspian Film Forum, film industry professionals from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan held a round table on the topic of film education in the Caspian region countries.

As a result of the forum's work, a resolution was adopted, which includes proposals for preserving and strengthening the common cultural space, creating joint film projects, sharing best practices in the field of cinematography, including film production, film education and support for young professionals.
