Dance groups of the culture departments of the cities of Balkan velayat participated in a competition held at the Balkanabat "Bagt köşgi." The competition was organized by the Balkan Regional Department of Culture and the velayat council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.

The performances in the competition were evidence that our national culture, art and folk creativity have acquired modern colors. The participating teams competed with each other in performing dances in the folk style.

The "Misserian" dance ensemble of the culture department of Gyzylarbat etrap became the winners of the competition. The ensembles from Turkmenbashi, Balkanabat and the culture department of Esenguly etrap took the prize-winning places. The organizers of the regional competition awarded the winners with special prizes.
