The National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly hosted a concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by Resul Gylyjov with great success. The concert program symbolically opened with «Oscar Anthem» by composer Greg Gulme.

The audience was immersed in live music from the best films that were lucky enough to win an Oscar. It is noteworthy that at the very beginning of the concert a debut took place: a song from the film «Windmills of Your Mind» was performed by a lyric soprano with a gentle, almost childish softness in her voice, Chassen Gouvernet. The orchestra's performance of enchanting melodies from 18 films was complemented by elegant performances by Maysa Niyazova and Dovran Shammyyev. Another discovery in the concert. The tuyduk solo to the music from the film «Gladiator» by Hans Zimmer was performed by Kakajan Hudayberdiyev.

The listeners applauded the orchestra musicians, the concert soloists and Resul Gylyjov’s promise to perform a concert again on the 5th and 6th of March.
