Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the results of the work done in the first month of the current year at the government meeting via video link.

It was reported that since the beginning of the year, preparation of draft laws has been underway to modernize civil legal relations in accordance with global practices, as well as those related to energy conservation, efficient energy use and hydrometeorological activities.

Furthermore, efforts continued to introduce new norms into the Family and Civil Procedure Codes to strengthen and preserve family ties and values, improve the processes of handling cases related to these matters in courts. Provisions of several existing laws are being brought in line with the demands of the time.

Summarizing the information presented, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the work should continue to enhance the country's legislation in accordance with the current requirements. New legal acts should contribute to the progressive development of Turkmenistan, successful implementation of adopted programs, and consistent improvement of the people's living conditions, stated the head of state.
