Turkmenistan’s general education schools have creative clubs, where the younger generation learns various forms of folk art and crafts. Participants in the "Best Girls' Club" competition demonstrated their ability in skilled handicrafts, musical mastery and culinary arts.

The event, organized by the Central Council of the Women's Union, the Ministry of Education and the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, took place at the Center for Public Organizations in the city of Ashgabat. At the competition venue, female students of 9-11 grades, representing general education schools of all velayats of the country, competed for the title of the most skillful and talented craftswomen and housewives.

In the welcoming speech, the high school girls talked about the activities of their clubs, announced their mottos, and performed musical compositions accompanied by national musical instruments.

One of the most exciting tasks of the competition was the challenge to continue an unfinished pattern of national embroidery. The girls were given corresponding samples of handmade crafts. And, as the competition showed, the young craftswomen excelled in their handicraft skills.

The culinary stage of the competition involved the ability to set a rich dastarkhan, decorating it with dishes of the Turkmen national cuisine. The participants prepared delicious pilaf, dograma, manty, salads and various baked goods. Each set table was presented in accordance with Turkmen proverbs and sayings about cuisine.

Online voting to determine the winners of the "Best Girls' Club" competition is open on the website of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
