Three reasons to visit the French Institute in Ashgabat on Saturday

The exhibition hall of the French Institute in Ashgabat hosts the environmental exhibition titled "World without End".

It is noteworthy that this exhibition consists of comics that illustrate the dialogue between two authors of the book "World without End" - Jean-Marc Jankovichi and Christophe Blain.

The text to the comics is written in French, and there were no translators available because at that time there was a concert by Takhir Mukhammedov taking place in the institute's cafe. Takhir is a graduate of the Institute of National Economy, but while studying at the institute, he developed a passion for singing, and now performing in public has become his second profession. His beautiful and high voice accompanied by the guitar and his contemporary repertoire, including well-known hits, has generated enormous interest among the residents of Ashgabat who visit the French Institute on Saturdays.

The French Institute in Ashgabat is involved in teaching the French language, as well as introducing the culture and customs of France. Its students are mainly children of different ages who have decided to expand their intellectual horizons and speak French fluently. When newcomers step through the institute's doors, they enter an atmosphere where everyone speaks French. Initially, this may cause discomfort, but eventually, they immerse themselves in conversational speech.

On Saturdays, the doors of the institute are open to everyone. A French film with Russian subtitles is shown at 14:00. Considering the love for French comedies, this event attracts a lot of interest.

Those who have a love for painting are welcomed here with exhibitions of works by Turkmen artists - both professionals and amateurs.

Art fairs are held weekly on Saturdays at the French Institute, where several craftswomen participate, presenting exclusive products created by their own hands. The phenomenon of "handmade" is widespread in all countries, and these skilled craftsmen maintain communication with each other through the Internet, sharing their secrets in master classes.

All craftswomen are united by the desire for creativity, artistic vision and the ability to bring their ideas to life. As visitors, all we can do is admire their golden hands.
