The "Woman of the Year" competition organized by the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan is held annually on the eve of International Women's Day. 

According to tradition, each velayat and the capital city is represented by the most active participants who successfully passed the selection process. This year, a participant from the new city of Arkadag was added to the finalists.

In our country, women work in various fields of activity, including business, government administration, law enforcement agencies, education, culture and agriculture. While being caring mothers and wives, they also strive to acquire new professions, aiming to contribute to the prosperity of an independent and neutral Homeland.

The achievements of women who have had the greatest influence on business and social life were recognized in seven nominations.

According to the "Woman of the Year 2024" competition, Jennet Agayeva from Ashgabat became the winner in the nomination "For Preservation and Development of the Art of National Handicrafts".

Enar Agayeva from Arkadag city became the best in the nomination "For Achievements in Raising Children." 

The contribution of Baji Ojarova from Ahal velayat to the development of the village was recognized in the corresponding category.

Jennetgul Garajaeva from Balkan velayat was honored in the nomination "For Promoting Spiritual Values and National Cultural Heritage Worldwide". Gulnar Mukhammetgeldiyeva, a representative of Mary velayat, was recognized as the best in the nomination "For Success in Entrepreneurship and Market Economy Development."

Shemshat Kerimova from Lebap velayat was awarded in the nomination "For High Organizational Abilities." Mayagozel Amanyazova from Dashoguz velayat was awarded in the nomination "For Work on Strengthening National Defense and Legality in Society."

All participants of the competition were awarded gratitude and valuable gifts from the President of Turkmenistan.
