As part of the year «Anev - the cultural capital of the Turkic world - 2024», the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) together with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan is holding the International Competition of Young Artists «Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World and Turkmenistan».

Young and young artists, pupils and students of art departments of specialized schools and universities from 12 to 18 years old from TURKSOY member countries are invited to participate.

Only original paintings reflecting philosophical reflections on a given topic are accepted for the competition. In the application, the author can write a few words about the painting, the plot, what inspired this work, perhaps poetry for it. It is important that the work be original, not previously published, not publicly presented, not awarded prizes or other awards.

Images must be sent by email to the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan tdcabest@gmail.com or the addresses of the co-organizers of the competition. Works are accepted in good scanned quality (from 2 to 6 MB, resolution 300 dpi, JPEG or PDF format) with a pseudonym written on the back.

Applications are accepted from the 1^st to 30^th of March, 2024. Applications from participants containing biographical and other information (address, telephone number, etc.) must be written in Turkish, Russian and English.

The application must be accompanied by a completed participant form, which can be downloaded from the website TURKSOY. The fact of registration of the application is confirmed by sending an individual number to the author.

The competition is held in two stages. The results of the first round will be published on the 15^th of April, 2024 on the websites of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and TURKSOY.

The second round (final round) is conducted by the TURKSOY International Jury from the 15^th of April to 15^th of May, 2024. The results of the second round will be announced on the 30^th of May, 2024.

The authors of the winning works will be invited to Ashgabat or the city of Anev for awards.

All works of the finalists will be included in the catalog album «Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World and Turkmenistan». Also, the best paintings of the finalists and winners will be printed in the form of posters on plastic for offline exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and TURKSOY.
