Delegation of representatives of the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan took part in the expert meeting on child statistics, which was held in early March at the Palace of Nations in Geneva. The meeting was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the United Nations Children's Fund.

Employees of the country's State Statistics Committee, together with the expert from the UNICEF Regional Office Child Rights Monitoring and Evaluation, also participated in the Network Meeting of National Statistical Offices in Europe and Central Asia. The aim of this event was to ensure accessibility and use of data on children in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Agenda for the period up to 2030.

The participants also discussed the monitoring system for the observance of children's rights in Europe and Central Asia, based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
