"Telebridge of Friendship" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi connected Ashgabat and Astrakhan

The TV quiz organized as part of the "Telebridge of Friendship" project was attended by students of the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A.S. Pushkin in Ashgabat, the Magtumguly Fragi School in Privolzhsky district of the Astrakhan region, and students of Turkmenistan studying at the V.N. Tatishchev Astrakhan State University.

The event, timed to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, was held in a hybrid format. Although the participants were thousands of kilometers apart, the meeting was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. 

The event participants were welcomed by Angelina Fadina, Vice-Rector for International Activities of the Astrakhan State University, and Irina Kuminova, Director of the Joint Turkmen-Russian School named after A.S. Pushkin.

In her speech, Angelina Fadina emphasized the importance of Magtymguly Fragi for the modern youth of the two nations and noted the actively developing bilateral relations between Astrakhan University and educational institutions of Turkmenistan. 

Another step towards effective interaction was the signing of a new agreement on cooperation between the two educational institutions. 

Next, the host of the event, Resul Shajiyev, a teacher at Astrakhan University, showcased an informative presentation on Magtymguly Fragi to the attention of the young people. In turn, students of the two schools recited famous poems by the classic of Turkmen literature, and students of the Russian university performed folk songs in the Turkmen language. 

An intellectual quiz on the knowledge of Magtymguly Fragi's biography and heritage determined the best connoisseurs of his work. The team "Zvezdochki" representing the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A.S. Pushkin became the winner of the TV quiz. At the end of the event, the winners and participants of the intellectual battles were presented with commemorative gifts and certificates. 

The "Telebridge of Friendship" connecting Ashgabat and Astrakhan was held in accordance with the plan of events approved by the Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.
