The International Conference "Magtymguly Fragi - the Contribution of Turkmen Culture to the World Civilization" took place in Moscow.

The event, dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the classic of Turkmen literature, the great poet and thinker of the East, Magtymguly Fragi, was organized by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the Moscow Society of Turkmen Culture, and the Association of Graduates of the Higher School under the Komsomol.

The conference, which took place in a hybrid format, brought together public and political figures, cultural workers of Turkmenistan and Russia, representatives of the diplomatic corps of Eurasia, writers and experts from the scientific community. In their speeches, the participants of the meeting noted the invaluable influence of Magtymguly Fragi on Turkmen and world culture.

A vivid proof of the wide international recognition of the works of the great Turkmen poet is the announcement of 2024 as the "Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi" by the International Organization of TURKSOY.

Greeting the participants of the meeting, Tuasoltan Aubekirovich Uzdenov, rector of the Karachay-Cherkess State University named after U.D. Aliev, emphasized that Magtymguly Fragi is one of the brightest representatives not only of Turkmen but also of world literature. His works serve as a source of inspiration for many readers.

The philosophical works of Magtymguly, filled with deep spiritual meaning, find their embodiment in music, theater, cinema and visual arts.

The servants of Melpomene shared their thoughts on creating the image of Magtymguly on the theatrical stage and in cinematography. Reports on the following topics were also heard: "Magtymguly as a Bright Example of People's Diplomacy", "Folklore and Literature as Reflections of the Life of the Turkmen People", "In the Footsteps of Magtymguly - from Gorgan to Turkestan", "Vocal and Choral Works of Turkmen Composers on the Words of Magtymguly ".

During the conference, a presentation of the sculpture exposition of Magtymguly was held for installation in Moscow.
