The importance of cyberculture in the digital environment was discussed at an online seminar

On the 2nd of April, the Centre for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan hosted an educational and methodological online seminar «Digital System: Youth. Development. Future», organized by the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly jointly with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. The purpose of the event is to conduct explanatory work among working and student youth, teachers of secondary schools in the country related to the implementation of urgent tasks for the successful implementation of the «Program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and investments in 2024».

Students and teachers from all universities in the country took part in the seminar, connecting via the Internet from conference rooms and classrooms of their educational institutions. They listened with interest to the speeches made during the meeting by the head of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly Yazpolat Keriyev, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Department of Minors and Youth Affairs of the Prosecutor General's Office, the State Migration Service and the MIA of Turkmenistan, the Centre for Internet Technologies of «Turkmentelecom», the Department of Digital Economy Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management.

The speeches of speakers touched upon the issues of digital transformation of various spheres and, above all, the development of the digital economy, which should be accompanied by an increase in cyber literacy - the acquisition of knowledge and skills that allow safe and effective use of the digital environment, and protection from possible threats and dangers. Along with the need to develop cyberculture, its technological and legal foundations, impact on psychological conditions and health status were discussed in detail.
