A dedication concert to the significant date of the birth of the great master of words, classic of Turkmen poetry, philosopher and sage of the East Magtymguly Fragi took place in the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The organizers of the gala event were the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation and the Moscow International Arts Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmamedov.

Guests of the concert were representatives of the diplomatic corps, cultural figures of Russia, heads of state and public organizations, Turkmen students studying in Russian educational institutions.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyyev addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He said that this year Turkmenistan is widely celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen literature, the outstanding poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, in whose honour, by resolution of the Mejlis of the country, the year 2024 in Turkmenistan is held under the motto «The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi».

During the concert, listeners were presented with songs and music by Alexandra Pahmutova, Eduardo Di Capua, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and famous Turkmen composers such as Nury Halmamedov, Danatar Ovezov, Chary Nurymov. Also performed were works by composer Mamet Huseyinov, art director of the Moscow International Arts Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmamedov.

Vocal works were performed by the opera singer, artist of the Moscow musical theatre «Helikon-Opera» Dariya Guseyinova and Zhanna Sayan - singer, teacher of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulyyeva.

The dedication concert «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi», held under the patronage of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, became the first event in a series of events planned in honour of Magtymguly in Moscow.
