A competition for crafts made from recycled materials has been announced

The public organization «Young Naturalist» and the Joint Turkmen-Turkish School are announcing a competition for crafts made from recycled materials as part of the recently celebrated International Day for a World Without Waste. Initiated by Türkiye and celebrated internationally, Zero Waste Day aims to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns, joining forces to ensure that future generations inherit a clean and livable planet through sustainable waste management.

The Recycled Crafts Competition aims to raise awareness among youth about the waste problem and encourage creativity in solving it by showcasing the various ways in which materials can be reused.

Competitive works will be judged in three categories: «The most creative craft» - for the originality of the idea and execution; «The most functional craft» - for practicality and usefulness in everyday life and «The most environmentally friendly craft» - for using the most recycled materials and minimizing waste during production.

The winners in each category will receive diplomas, memorable gifts and certificates from eco-goods stores. All competition participants will receive appropriate certificates.

In order to take part in the competition, you need to make a craft from recycled materials, which can be used plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, textiles, etc. The size of the craft should not exceed 50 cm in any dimension. A label should be attached to the craft, indicating the name of the author, age category, name of the craft, and a brief description of the materials used. Works are accepted until the 22nd of April at the «Ylym» publishing house at the address: st. Azady, building 61, 2nd floor.
