The joint concert of American and Turkmen vocalists, held on the stage of the N. Andalib State Music and Drama Theater, was a wonderful musical gift for the residents of Dashoguz city. The combined choir of the Dashoguz Special School of Arts named after Magtymguly Garlyyev performed there together with the professional vocal trio Pipeline Vocal Project (PVP) from Alaska, USA.

The vocal trio Pipeline Vocal Project (PVP), also known as Queens of Alaska, consists of three talented vocalists - Adriana Latonio, Molly Dieni and Lisa Hawkins. They all have extensive experience and skill in performing a cappella, singing without instrumental accompaniment, where the focus is on the beauty of the voices and their harmonious blend in a collective. Such performances are capable of fully showcasing the range, richness, and beauty of the human voice. It is not surprising that great composers of different eras, such as K.M. Weber, F. Schubert, R. Schumann, I. Brahms, N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov and others, showed interest in this genre, which has gained wide popularity in folk art.

As for the choir of the Dashoguz Special School of Arts named after Magtymguly Garlyyev, which also performed a cappella pieces today, it consists of 24 students of different years of study. This combined collective, which is renewed every year for understandable reasons, is led by D. Jumaev, teacher of the educational institution. The repertoire of the choir, which often performs in front of the audiences at various festive events, includes works by national classics of musical art and outstanding figures of world musical culture. 

The program of the current concert included a variety of pieces such as "I wanna be like you", "Under the sea" and "A dream is a wish your Heart makes". In honor of the widely celebrated 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, two works based on his words, "Gözüm düşdi" and "Türkmeniň", were passionately and deeply performed.

This bright artistic event, which allowed the audience to experience the beauty of vocal art and undoubtedly contributed to the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of cultures, deserved long applause from grateful listeners.
