"Galkan", eight-time champion of Turkmenistan, continues to crush opponents at the ongoing international ice hockey tournament in Ashgabat. After convincing victories in the first two rounds against "Bahrain Ice Hockey Club" from Bahrain (8-1) and "Oman Nationals" from Oman (15-1), the wards of Andrei Makarov and Meylis Kuliev crushed "Ice Box Iran Mall" from Iran today with a score of 13-1.

Erkin Kakabaev opened the scoring in the 1st minute of the game, putting a rebounded puck from the goalkeeper's pad. The next two goals in the 2nd and 8th minutes were similar. In the first case, Pavel Barkovsky from the right side made a perfect pass to Arslan Geldimyradov, who sent the puck into the unprotected corner of the net. In the second case, Dovrangeldi Bayjaev assisted Ahmed Kurbanov, and the puck slipped between the goalie's pads into the net.

In the 11th minute, Begench Dovletmyradov increased "Galkan's" lead to 4-0 with a shot under the crossbar. In the 15th minute, two players from our team again outnumbered a defender, and Pavel Barkovsky scored the fifth goal with a pass from Arslan Geldimyradov. A minute later, Serdar Kakajanov scored with an assist from Baymyrat Baymyradov behind the net.

The teams went to the first break with a score of 6-0.

In the second period, Turkmenistan's hockey players scored six more goals, while the "Ice Box Iran Mall" team responded with only one goal in the 14th minute. Perkhat Atekaev scored a hat-trick for our team, and Arslan Nuryev, Ovezguly Esenov and Alexander Vakhovsky scored once each.

In the final 20 minutes, Musa Annasaparov, after outplaying several Iranian players along the left side, scored a precise shot into the near corner of the net, setting the final score at 13-1.

After this game, "Galkan" solidified its leading position in Group "A" with 9 points.

In another parallel match in Group "B", which took place at the small ice arena of the Winter Sports Complex, the Belarusian team "Volat" secured its second consecutive victory by defeating the team "Aqmola" from Kazakhstan with a score of 6-4 (2-0, 2-1, 2-3). This is the first defeat for the Kazakh club in the Ashgabat tournament. After this game, both "Volat" and "Aqmola" have 6 points. If "ADIHIC-Kazan" (Republic of Tatarstan, Russia) also wins their next match in the 3rd round against "Team-Turkiye," they will also have 6 points.

The tournament continues.
